EASA issued this AD to address safety pins (P/N 8G9560F00311 or 8G9560F00511) that may remain installed on the Emergency Flotation System and life raft cylinder valve, rendering the inflation system inoperative. Operators must perform a one-time inspection within 25 flight hours, remove any affected pin if found, and prohibit extended overwater flights until compliance is confirmed (with a limited crew-only ferry flight permitted for repositioning).
Applicability: Leonardo AW189 helicopters, serial numbers 49111, 49114, 49120, 49122, 89030, 89031, 89038, and 93007.
Effective Date: 02 April 2026.
