EASA has cancelled AD 2026-0001-E, which previously mandated repetitive replacements of main rotor upper and lower pitch rod end bearings due to a reported in-flight rupture that led to significant vibrations and a ditching incident. Further testing and evidence from Airbus Helicopters confirmed that the pitch rod fatigue strength aligns with original certification assumptions, removing the basis for the unsafe condition. No further actions are required.
Applicability: All Airbus Helicopters H160-B helicopters, all serial numbers.
Effective Date: March 10, 2026.
