FAA AD 2026-05-13: Airbus Helicopters H160-B Tail Rotor Drive Shaft Inspection

The FAA mandates repetitive visual inspections of the rear damper on the tail rotor drive system to detect potential contact between the tail rotor drive rear shaft and the rear damper, with corrective actions as needed to prevent degradation, shaft failure, and loss of yaw control.

Applicability: All Airbus Helicopters Model H160-B helicopters, certificated in any category.

Effective Date: April 20, 2026.
